Developing a Healthy Relationship with Technology

Whether it be communicating with friends and relatives, using YouTube to listen to their favourite songs or videos, playing apps on a phone or tablet or looking up facts and information online, children are increasingly exposed to digital technology in their everyday lives.

While these technological advances give us a fantastic resource, there are issues regarding mental and physical wellbeing and safety that need to be taken into consideration. It is relatively easy for us to control the time and use of devices in schools but it can be much more complex at home. Establishing and maintaining some basic rules and keeping dialogue open can be helpful.

Here are some useful websites for supporting you and your child online.
